About YAWH

A Haitian native, Ephraim went to college and played soccer in the USA and remained in the states for several years before returning to Haiti in 2016 to pour into its restless youth. He uses 'foutbol' (i.e., soccer) to teach young men how to lead and love like Jesus. Youths ages 12 to 18 train daily and receive a meal before most practices. Ephraim leads Bible studies, English classes, and teaches other skills and trades throughout the year to help equip "his boys" for adulthood.

YAWH has had a ripple effect on the surrounding communities as its young men share their hope in Jesus - and a better future for Haiti.

Training Up Disciples

Woven into YAWH is a passion to use soccer as a vehicle to develop the next generation of leaders for Haiti, offering hope for the future in conditions that are extremely challenging. In order to reach that goal, mentoring and tutoring, educational opportunities, and faith-based growth are integral to the program.

Serving Our Community

We disciple our athletes to live and love like Jesus by creating opportunities for them to serve their neighbors through a weekly food ministry for homeless seniors and other programs for the betterment of Haitian families and communities.

Launching Our Leaders

Throughout the YAWH program, our athletes focus on God, Education, and Football to prepare them for becoming future leaders in Haiti. We support these emerging leaders with a scholarship program in collaboration with local universities and trade schools.
